Enjoy Peace and Freedom: An Introduction to the Sedona Method
Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October 2026 – and In-Person Event
You are warmly invited to an IN-PERSON Sedona Method introductory retreat in Derry/Londonderry on 3rd and 4th October
Workshop Times
The workshop runs from 10 am – 5pm both days.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by life and all its problems or whether you generally feel happy but have a background niggle that something is missing, this workshop offers you the chance to enjoy deeper peace and freedom.
Peace and freedom are already within us – not just in some of us, but all of us. In this workshop, we’ll use the Sedona Method to guide you to experience that for yourself and also to release contracted emotions such as anxiety, frustration and sadness.
We’ll also have a lot of fun! That might sound like a contradiction, but releasing long-held emotions often brings spontaneous laughter as we see how we’ve innocently been caught in beliefs that don’t serve us! By taking part in the workshop, we also get to see that we’re far from alone with our unhelpful beliefs – and that brings a sense of relief and ease!
What to expect at the workshop on 3rd and 4th October
A Small Group
We like to keep things friendly, so the maximum number of participants will be 16.
Working together in a variety of ways
Group and individual support
Throughout the weekend, there will be group releases and opportunities to work one-to-one with an instructor.
Partnership exercises
The Sedona Method uses simple questions that can rapidly make a difference in our lives. As we learn these questions, we can also facilitate others. This makes it a very democratic process! While asking the questions helps those we facilitate, it also helps us too! In this workshop, at times you’ll work in partnerships, with the instructors on hand to support you any time you need us.
The Instructors
Your instructors for this course are Owen Donnelly and Yvonne Spence. We are both certified Sedona Method instructors, and this will be the fourth course we’ve run together. We both approach teaching the method with open hearts and a huge dollop of love! If you tend to be hard on yourself, we’ll guide you to understand why it’s totally okay to let that go and to choose self-kindness instead!
A little more about us:

As well as being a Sedona Method instructor, Owen is a counsellor, supervisor and trainer. He has been using the Sedona Method for himself since 2013, and with clients since 2016. Owen has found using the Sedona Method helps him to relax more in his client work and to be more fully present with them. He has also noticed a great increase in self-compassion and self-acceptance and his clients report many benefits.

Yvonne began using the Sedona Method in 2008 during a particularly difficult time. Before that, she had tried many techniques hoping to stop anxiety and quickly discovered how powerful the Sedona Method could be – even when she felt resistant to it! She also found aspects of it helped her let go of self-judgements and grown more self-compassionate. When coaching, Yvonne loves nothing more than to support people to let go of self-judgements and to treat themselves more kindly.
